EYV2011 - Health and Social Care updateAge UK held its first EYV 2011 conference last week, which looked at the benefits and the barriers to involving older volunteers and involving older people in the localism agenda through volunteering.
As part of EYV 2011, Age UK is compiling a guide to volunteer roles that support the health and social care needs of older people.
To do this, we need examples of volunteer roles from across the volunteering sector.
The deadline is Friday 9th December.
The Health and Social Care Volunteering Awards are a one-off awards scheme made possible through funding from the Cabinet Office as part of the European Year of Volunteering 2011.
The deadline for nominations is Monday 5th December 2011.
